ECTS Credit Allocation


ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) Credits are allocated to the courses in accordance with the workload of the students. 1 ECTS is equal to 25 to 30 hours (depending on the academic program) of study and curriculum includes 30 ECTS per semester and 60 ECTS for an academic year.

While calculating the workload in accordance with the hours, all the activities that should be completed by the students are being taken into account (course hours, laboratories, training, preparation of homework, project). Firstly, the ECTS Credits of the common courses in the University and Faculty level. Then each Department/Program decided on the ECTS Credits of the individual courses. The surveys for evaluation of the course work loads is in progress.
