In order to be admitted to this programme the candidates need to be high school graduates.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

A student who started education in any domestic or international academic instutition will hand in the courses to be transferred with a petition to the head of the department. The documents will be inspected in accordance with the regulations determined by the university. After the transferred courses are determined, they will be presented to the confirmation of the faculty then will be transferred to head of the student affairs department.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The training programme in Turkish presents the student with 240 ECTS curriculum consists of 8 semesters total. 6 compulsory and 11 free elective theoretical modules are concluded with a final exam. 22 compulsory and 7 area elective courses concluded with project – assignment delivery. In total, 47 Painting coded modules offered. Also 12 modules are taken from the faculty and the university in order to support the education further. The student to be graduated needs to accumulate at least 2.00 scores out of 4.00 and no failed classes.

The Department of Paintingat the School of Fine Arts and Design at Altınbaş University aims to educate its students as innovative and entrepreneurial artistical identities with their knowledge and communication skills in the field. Students at Department of Painting at the School of Fine Arts and Design at Istanbul Altınbaş University meet with the realities of the art world and meet with the leading academicians and professionals in the field and gain from their experience.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples

Firstly our graduates can pursue their academic carriers further, also they can take lessons on pedagogic formation to become visual arts teachers in state schools. They can work in graphic and advertisement agencies as designers. Also can become maganers in art galleries.

The graduated student can apply to masters, doctorate and post doctorate programmes.

Graduation Requirements

The student must complete 240 ects by taking 60 ects per year. Student takes 7 minimum free elective classes during the program period. To be able to graduate the student has to score a minimum 2.00 out of 4.00 Student need to pass all classes without scoring F.

Department is in posession of studios in various artistical fields which will contribute to development in the artistical field. These studios also contribute to the research. Strong academic staff experienced in their fields is present in the department.
