Altınbaş University, School of Graduate Education, Electircal and Computer Engineering Doctorate Program has started education in 2011-2012 academic year. 100% Turkish Education Program is implemented in the program.

Students who complete this program successfully are granted PhD Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Higher Education Postgraduate Education Regulations for students who want to transfer to Altınbaş University from higher education institutions in Turkey and foreign countries, Altınbaş University Graduate Education and the university with Education Regulations relating to transfer set by the Senate Assessment Terms apply.

In order to graduate from the PhD program, students must successfully complete 7 courses (compulsory and elective courses), seminars, qualifying examination, dissertation proposal and thesis with 56 ECTS. The total number of courses, seminars, qualifying examination, dissertation proposal and dissertations in the program is 254 ECTS. In order for the student to graduate, the GPA should be at least 3.00 / 4.00.

The mission of Electrical and Computer Engineering PhD program is to create new knowledge in the fields of electrical-electronics and computer science, to achieve excellence in scientific research, to produce solutions to the world challenging problems encountered in industry as well as in academy. The graduates of this program work as electrical, electronics, computer and sofware engineers in the public and the private sectors as well as in academia. The graduates of this program are equipped with fundamental and technical knowledge and communication skills, foreign language skills, teamwork skills in order to be able to work in these sectors/areas.Therefore, profile of the program constitutes educating academician in national and international level and serving humanity by contributing to the advancement of science and technology.

The graduates of this program work as electrical, electronics, computer and sofware engineers in the public and the private sectors as well as in academia. The graduates of this program are equipped with fundamental and technical knowledge and communication skills, foreign language skills, teamwork skills in order to be able to work in these sectors/areas.

Students who graduate from this program may apply for studying at programs at postdoctoral level or for academic positions of Assistant Professor at universities.
