Qualification Requirements and Regulations

In order to graduate from the 3 term master's program without thesis, students must successfully complete 10 courses (compulsory and elective courses) and term project with 30 credits. The total number of courses and term project in the program is 90 ECTS. In order for the student to graduate, the CGPA should be at least 2.50 / 4.00.

Profile of the Programme

The purpose of our program; to educate the individuals who have completed their mechanical engineering degree as productive high mechanical engineers who can do their jobs at the international level; to provide expertise to engineers working in the fields of mechanical engineering such as fluid mechanics, heat transfer, automation, automotive, energy and manufacturing. the design of mechanical engineering research and development of appropriate practical conditions in the countries of Turkey and discipline and train qualified staff with the competencies applied R & D; Our most important aim is to ensure that these elements are equipped with creative and innovative ideas for industrial applications. Furthermore, it is aimed that students make the original contributions to science by sharing the results of scientific researches in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering with the world of science.

Access to Further Studies

Students who graduated from non-thesis master's programs after 06.02.2013 do not have the right to apply for doctoral programs. However, they may apply for thesis-based master's programs provided they meet the requirements set by the Senate.

Graduation Requirements

Facilities

Physics, Electrical / Electronics and Computer Laboratories of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences are used by the students of the department. In addition, there are two laboratories belonging to the Department of Mechanical Engineering: Materials Laboratory and Mechanical Engineering Systems Laboratory . The Materials Laboratory is equipped with a Tension/ Compression Test Machine, Microscope, Oven, Hardness Testing Equipment. The Mechanical Engineering Systems Laboratory houses experimental systems related to solid mechanics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
