Altınbaş University Law School started its education life by admitting its first students in the 2011-2012 academic year.
During the same education period, the International Trade Law Master's Program started. In the 2013-2014 academic year, the Double
Diploma Turkish-German Law Undergraduate Program, carried out together with the University of Cologne, was launched.
Students were accepted to the Public Law Master's Program in the 2016-2017 academic period.
In 2017, the Private Law PhD Program started to accept students. International Commercial Law and Private Law master's degree programs with and without thesis also continue education.

Specific Admission Requirements

Law graduates are accepted to the Thesis Program. Students will be admitted to the project (non-thesis) program with prerequisites, provided that they take and succeed in certain undergraduate law preparatory courses. - Having a 4-year law undergraduate degree. (There is a field graduation requirement.) - Getting at least 55 points or above from any score type from ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Examination) within the last five years, • ALES is only valid for thesis programs. ALES requirement has been abolished for non-thesis programs. • Candidate students who do not have sufficient ALES scores can take courses in graduate programs as "special students"; Student rights cannot be enjoyed as a special student. • Those who take the GMAT and GRE exams can use the numerical score in the GMAT or GRE equivalence table in return for the ALES base score.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Recognition of previous formal learning is done at the national level in accordance with YÖK framework regulations and Istanbul Altınbaş University relevant regulations.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Postgraduate education is 3 years (6 semesters) in accordance with the YÖK Regulation. A year consists of two semesters. There are 16 weeks in each semester. In order for our students to successfully complete their education and receive a diploma, they must receive passing grades in all required courses and have a GPA of at least 3.00. During the program, 3 compulsory courses including Scientific Ethics + Seminar + 4 elective courses and a successful thesis defense are required.

Profile of the Programme

The purpose of the Master of Laws program in Private Law is; Having a strong sense of justice and ethical values, being able to reflect the traces of this sense of justice in all kinds of legal relations, contributing to the legal literature at national and international levels in the dimensions of teaching, scientific research, publication and activity, leading its development and taking the business world, especially SMEs, to the international level. To train competent lawyers who will resolve international legal disputes of 's, meet their legal service needs, and who have internalized global law. The program consists of four modules. For each program type, the student will choose one of the Civil Law, Commercial Law, Private International Law, Labor and Social Security Law modules and will take elective courses other than the two compulsory courses from these modules.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples

Graduates of this program work as lawyers, prosecutors, judges, notaries, researchers, academicians, managers, consultants and experts in all law-related fields of the public and private sectors. Graduates are trained with the basic and technical knowledge required to work in these fields and with skills such as communication, foreign languages ​​and teamwork.

Those who successfully complete the program can enroll in the PRIVATE LAW PHD program.

Scholarship opportunities are available for students. It offers its students elective course opportunities in many areas of law. Legal education is supported by international collaborations. Our university also provides postgraduate education with a Master's degree in Public Law and a PhD program in Private Law.
