Istanbul Altınbaş University Vocational High School was founded in 2008. The Computer Programming Program has taken its first students in the 2015-2016 academic year.
Students, who complete this program with successfully, qualify to Associate Degree in Computer Programming.
This program is an associate degree level programming (Vocational Level 5).

In order to be admitted to the Computer Programming program have to received a diploma by completing a high school or equivalent education, within the framework of the regulations of the Council of Higher Education, according to the results of the university entrance examination organized by OSYM. Students are accepted to the program according to the “TYT ” point type.
Recognition of prior learning is subject to the framework bylaws at national level set by Council of Higher Education and to the related bylaws of Istanbul Altınbaş University. Transfer of students among programs within the university or from a program at other university is done according to quotas determined by the executive councils of the relevant schools.
120 ECTS courses and to be successful from these courses taken, graduation weighted average should be at least 2.00, Workplace Applied Training (Internship) activity should be done in total 30 working days and the note should not be FF.
The Associate Degree Program in Computer Programming at the Vocation School at İstanbul Altınbaş University aims to educate its students as innovative and skillful graduates with their knowledge and communication skills in the field. Students, who are at the Associate Degree Program in Computer Programming at İstanbul Altınbaş University, grow based and elective courses in their field. Vision To bring in a new perspective to computer programming education; to have information about requirement of modern vocational training, to direct to Information Technology sector, to grow individual who have teamwork capability and to have sharing culture, to be consulted about profession and to be preferred department. Mission To educate individuals who see the computer programming as the basis of following technological developments and changes in our era that blends easily, it is to competent graduation by training and education in profession with the expectation of making industrial areas in the business world.
The graduates of this program work as computer programmer in the public and the private sectors. The graduates of this program are equipped with fundamental and technical knowledge in order to be able to work in these areas. There is no graduate student from Istanbul Altınbaş University Vocational High School of Computer Programming Program yet.
Students who graduate from this program may apply for studying at programs at bachelor’s level. With the External Transfer Exam (ETE) organized by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), students can transfer to the following programs; Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Information Systems, Computer and Information Systems, Computer and Instructional Technology Teaching, Computer and Software Engineering, Computer-Informatics, Information Systems Engineering, Information Systems and Technologies, Information Technologies, Physics, Statistics, Control Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Mathematics Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, Mathematics-Computer, Meteorology Engineering, Space Engineering and Software Engineering
Students should complete a minimum of 120 ECTS credits with a Grade Point Average of minimum 2.00 over 4.00 with a minimum letter grade of DD. Students have to do their practices time specified in the program and students stated their internship and complete the feature is mandatory.
E-learning
There are three staff members in the department in order to be able to carry out the program. There is a computer laboratory for 50 students for the education activities and applications. In addition, there are projection devices that allow the course to be carried out. Our classes have a capacity of 25 students. In our university, there are libraries, canteens and cafeterias where our students can benefit. Our students are able to meet their meals in the university lunch hall. In addition to our students' academic development, student clubs actively promote different skills and interests, develop and socialize.
