In addition to the diploma of High School or Vocational High School, placement to the Associate degree programs is made according to the scores obtained in the Selection and Placement Examinations conducted by ÖSYM and the preferred and secondary achievement scores of the students.

Recognition of the previous formal (formal) learner in Turkish Higher Education Institutions, transitions in the vertical, horizontal and university are determined by the Higher Education Council " REGULATION ". Recognition of non-formal certification or experiential (informal and non-formal) learning outside of formal education institutions in Turkey is still in its infancy. For this reason, recognition of the previous learner in all programs of Istanbul Altınbaş University has not been fully started. Exemption exams are held at the beginning of each academic term for courses such as Computer and English which are included in the training plans of the programs. Students who think they have the qualifications expected from these courses have the right to take the exams. Students who are successful in the examination are exempted from the relevant courses in the curriculum. In addition, students are exempted from these courses if the courses in the higher education institutions that they have already studied are accepted as the result of the adaptation procedures.

Students should complete a minimum of 120 ECTS credits with a Grade Point Average of minimum 2.00 over 4.00 with a minimum letter grade of DD. It is compulsory for the students to complete their defined internship (total 40 workdays) on the schedule in the specified time and particulars.

Students graduated from Foreign Trade Department are entitled as Foreign Trade Profession Personnel. Our appraisal is made by the Customs Consultant Assistant made by the Ministry of Customs, and in case of passing the exam, we get the right of Customs Consultant approved by the Ministry. Public institutions and organizations are the field of foreign trade for all domestic and foreign businesses where international trade is the subject.
