Students arriving at the Lateral Transfer: For the students who want to transfer from the higher education institutions in Turkey and foreign countries to Istanbul Altınbaş University, the Regulations Regarding the Transition between the Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Minor Institutional Credit Transfer Principles and the Lateral Transitions Determined by the University Senate. Lateral Transition Quotas are announced by the Yüksek Öğretim Kurumu. The evaluation is carried out by the committees of the faculties and higher education institutions and is announced by the relevant boards. Students coming in a Vertical Transition: Vertical transition, the provisions of the Regulations on the Continuation of Undergraduate Study of Vocational School Graduates apply. The quotas reserved by the university are notified to OSYM Presidency. These quotas and conditions declared are announced in the Vertical Transition Guide prepared by OSYM. Placement procedures are carried out centrally by OSYM according to the results of the Vertical Transfer Examination. The courses of the students who take part in the exchange programs are accepted as optional or compulsory courses. The recognition of the former formal education is carried out according to the framework regulations of the Yüksek Öğretim Kurumu at national level and the relevant regulations of Istanbul Altınbaş University. In-house lateral transfers are made within the quotas determined by the relevant board of directors.
The student must complete 120 ECTS credits during 2 years of education. In order to graduate from the program, students must complete all the courses they have taken and the industry-based training internship of 1. year 30 working days, 2. year 20 working days, with a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and failing courses. Students who have successfully completed this program are eligible to earn an Associate Degree in Jewelry and Jewelry Design.
Istanbul Altınbaş University Vocational School aims to educate its students in the fields of jewelry, hardware and communication skills. Istanbul Altınbaş University Vocational School Jewelry and Jewellery Design Associate Degree Program students are trained by taking basic and elective courses in their field during their education. Theoretical lessons based on designing, recognizing and producing jewelery in the program are given in the classrooms of the vocational high school and the application lessons are done in the workshops and laboratories of the program. Students complete 30 days of workday (compulsory) in the first year and 20 days (compulsory) in the second year. In the Jewelry and Jewellery Design Program, Turkish education is given as formal education. In the program, a combined jewelery teaching is done in five different disciplines as it is in the whole world. These; Jewelery, Gemology, Jewelery Design, Computer Jewelery Design and Jewelery Trading. Each group has its own lower branches. Lessons gathered under these five categories are made by experienced instructors who are experts in their field. There are 3 lecturers in the program.
Graduates of this program are employed in companies that produce goods / services in the jewelry sector and in public institutions and organizations. Students are directed to the business association with the universities, non-governmental organizations, Jewelery and Jewelery Design Department related businesses, professional chambers and professional staff in the educational activities, employment opportunities and planning issues required by the program. The Jewelry and Jewellery Design Program curriculum is aimed at raising qualified personnel in the jewelery sector. Since this sector is also entirely private in Turkey, the students enrolled in the program are aware that from the first day they will work in a sector where market conditions prevail and that there is very little in their sector to be employed in the public sector. Therefore, in this sector where competition is intense, a new graduate is able to open a private workshop on his own so that he or she can enter an established company and prove himself or herself. Every student is meticulously emphasized and students are equipped with modern technological know-how as well as traditional techniques of the jewelery industry. INTEGRITY and INNOVATION constitute the basis of this teaching. Accordingly, the post-graduation study areas of the students can be listed on the sectoral basis as follows: * Jewelry Sector: As a result of their having the opportunity to open a special jewelery ornamentation machining workshop with the capacity of a technician admitted by the Ministry of Labor, with the title of a master admitted by the Jeweler's Chamber with a small capital, with the titles mentioned in the firms related to this sector; Management, manufacturing, design, technical art consulting, sales staff etc. They can work in the fields. * Mining Sector: In their own business or in private sector mining operations, the manufacturer may act as a technical consultant or as a market marketer. * Official Service Sector: As a jewelery specialist in the General Directorate of the Mint and Printing Factory, as a specialist in ornamental stones group in the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, General Directorate of Search and Mining Affairs General Directorate, As an archaeogeographologist, in the Revolving Funds of the Ministry of Tourism, as a salesperson in the marketing of jewelery and gemstone products.
Graduates with Associate Degree can transfer to undergraduate programs according to the criteria determined by the YÖK in the Vertical Transfer Exam. In addition, there is a possibility of vertical transfer to many departments of Open Education Faculties, especially the Economics and Business Administration departments.
In order to graduate from this program, students must have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and must be successful by completing a minimum of 120 ECTS credits and taking at least a D grade from all courses. Students are required to complete their defined internship in the program in the specified time and particulars.

Since the department is located in Istanbul, an education is carried out with the sector. At the same time, successful students have possibilities of internship and work in companies belonging to Altınbaş Holding. Thanks to the on-site Professional Practice course, students have the opportunity to practice internally while they are studying.
