Aim

  • The Master's Programme in Psychology aims to provide students with detailed theoretical knowledge on the main subfields of psychology and aims to equip students with ethical awareness. In addition, the programme aims to provide students with the ability to follow the literature and developments in the field of psychology.

  • To gain sufficient theoretical knowledge in the basic subfields of psychology. To have ethical awareness. To have the ability to follow psychological literature and developments.

Students who successfully complete this program are eligible to receive a Master of Science degree in Psychology.

Profile of the Programme

The Psychology (Non-Thesis) Master's program offers an applied graduate experience by combining theoretical knowledge with case studies and research projects. The aim of the program is to equip students with methodology, technical knowledge and critical thinking skills in the field of psychology and to train them to make academic contributions. The program is intended for candidates who aim to work in areas such as Social and Developmental Psychology.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples

Students who successfully complete the master's program can work in units appropriate to psychology in public institutions, private sector or non-governmental organizations.

Access to Further Studies

Students who graduated from non-thesis master's programs after 06.02.2013 do not have the right to apply for doctoral programs. However, they may apply for thesis-based master's programs provided they meet the requirements set by the Senate.

Graduation Requirements

Completing credit courses with a GPA of at least 2.50 out of 4.00 and
The student who successfully completes the project is awarded a non-thesis master's degree.
