Master of Civil Engineering Diploma
Master's Degree with thesis in CIVIL ENGINEERING is a two-year (4 semesters) program with 120 ECTS credits. The program meets the requirements both for ECTS credits and level descriptors of the "Second Cycle" degree qualifications of the Overarching Framework of European Qualifications Framework HE (QF-EHEA) and the "7th Level" qualifications of the Turkish Qualifications Framework for HE (TYYÇ, NQF-HETR), as well as the "7th Level" requirements of the qualifications of the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF-LLL) in terms of the level descriptors.

Master's Degree Program in CIVIL ENGINEERING ("Second Cycle" in QF-EHEA and "7th Level" in TYYÇ ) is an academically-oriented program giving access to degree and non-degree research programs and professional practice demanding advanced levels of knowledge, skills and competencies.
Civil engineers find employment as freelancers and civil servants in permanent positions in construction companies, public administration, engineering consultancies, transport companies, real estate markets, the construction materials industry, as well as in various interdisciplinary fields of study. Civil engineers work in teams and often coordinate collaboration between different disciplines.
Candidates who successfully complete their master's degree can study in doctoral programs, provided that they get sufficient grades from the ALES exam and have sufficient knowledge of the English language.
The student is responsible for 7 courses, 1 seminar course and 1 thesis in the program.

The department has well-developed laboratories housing state-of-the-art equipment for static and dynamic tests in the fields of structural and earthquake engineering, geotechnical engineering, and materials science.
