Specific Admission Requirements

4-year law undergraduate degree. (Field graduation is a requirement.) - ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Examination) score of at least 55 points or above from any score type (Numerical, Verbal and Equal Weight) within the last five years, - ALES is only valid for programs with thesis. ALES requirement for non-thesis programs has been abolished. - Candidate students who do not have sufficient ALES score can take courses of graduate programs as "special students"; student rights cannot be benefited as a special student. - Those who participated in GMAT and GRE exams can use the numerical score in the GMAT or GRE equivalency table against the ALES base score.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Recognition of prior formal learning is done at the national level in accordance with the framework regulations of YÖK and the relevant regulations of Istanbul Altınbaş University.

Graduates of this program work as lawyers, prosecutors, judges, notaries, researchers, academicians, managers, consultants and experts in all areas of public and private sectors related to law. Graduates are equipped with the necessary basic and technical knowledge and skills such as communication, foreign language and teamwork to work in these fields.

Access to Further Studies

Students who graduated from non-thesis master's programs after 06.02.2013 do not have the right to apply for doctoral programs. However, they may apply for thesis-based master's programs provided they meet the requirements set by the Senate.

Graduation Requirements

During the program, students are responsible for 10 courses and project assignments and must be successful. The period of completion of the master's program without thesis is at least two semesters and at most three semesters, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program in which the student is enrolled are given, regardless of whether he / she registers for each semester, except for the period spent in scientific preparation. Students who complete the credited courses with a GPA of at least 2.50 out of 4.00 and successfully complete the term project are awarded a non-thesis master's degree diploma.
