Aim

  • Altınbaş University Clinical Psychology Master's Programme is designed to produce competent and proficient graduates in the area of clinical psychology. Within this framework, the programme aims to train ethically committed experts who are equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge and skills to become clinical psychologists. The programme also aims to provide the ability to follow the literature and recent developments in the clinical psychology field.
Objective

  • To gain sufficient theoretical knowledge in the field of clinical psychology. To gain the necessary practical knowledge in the field of clinical psychology. To gain the ability to follow the literature and developments in the area of clinical psychology. To train competent and proficient clinical psychologists with high ethical awareness.
Qualification Awarded

Students who successfully complete this program are eligible to receive a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples

Graduates can work as professionals, managers, counselors, and experts in various clinics of hospitals, mental health institutions, rehabilitation and family counseling centers, nursing homes, and many other organizations. They can also serve as educators/academics teaching psychology disciplines in higher education institutions and universities. Additionally, they can play an active role in positions such as research and development, evaluation, analysis, reporting, and inspection within numerous public and private sector institutions.

Access to Further Studies

Students who graduated from non-thesis master's programs after 06.02.2013 do not have the right to apply for doctoral programs. However, they may apply for thesis-based master's programs provided they meet the requirements set by the Senate.

Graduation Requirements

A non-thesis master's degree is awarded to the student who completes the credit courses with a GPA of at least 2.50 out of 4.00 and successfully completes the term project.
