The Management Information Systems department is in 2017-2018 education within the Faculty of Applied Sciences. The Management Information Systems department is located on the Gayrettepe Social Sciences campus.

Specific Admission Requirements

Within the framework of the regulations of the Higher Education institution, undergraduate and graduate programs are made according to the adoption of a centralized examination results to students in Turkey. The Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) places the students in the departments of their choice according to the scores of the candidates in the selection exam and the contributions of the High School scores.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Recognition of previous formal learning is done at the national level in accordance with the framework regulations of the Higher Education Institution and the relevant regulations of Istanbul Altınbaş University. Internal transfers within the institution are made within the quotas determined by the relevant board of directors. Quotas are determined by the relevant executive boards as a certain proportion of the student quota stipulated in the ÖSYM Guide for each year announced. Internal transfer transfer quotas are announced on the University website a certain time before the deadline will be accepted, along with the base score and the additional requirements foreseen. In order to make a transfer application between the same level but different central placement score type within the university and the diploma programs accepting students, it is equivalent to the diploma program that the student wants to pass the central placement score in the type of diploma program that he / she wants to pass as the year of the central examination score. diploma programs are required not to be less than the minimum base score. Students who have successfully completed open education associate degree programs with vocational colleges can transfer vertically to undergraduate programs. Candidates who have graduated from abroad with the same conditions and graduates of the vocational high schools of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and whose equivalence is accepted can also apply for vertical transfer.
