Specific Admission Requirements

Enrollment of students in programs at master’s and PhD degree levels in Turkey is done according to the results of centrally organized ALES exam, the performance (grades) of the applicant at undergraduate study, and the results of the interview made with the applicant according to the Higher Education Act. Enrollment of students in programs at master’s and PhD degree levels is not subject to a centrally managed process but is done by the respective university itself. International student admission committee determines the accepted international students based on required conditions for registration. Committee examines graduate point average of the applicants and proposes scholarship rate to the presidency of Istanbul Altınbaş University.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Recognition of prior learning is subject to the framework bylaws at national level set by Council of Higher Education and to the related bylaws of Istanbul Altınbaş University. Transfer of students among programs within the university or from a program at other university is done according to quotas determined by the executive councils of the relevant schools. Courses to be transferred for students transferred among programs within the university or from a program at other university are determined by the relevant school executive board. Courses at enrolled another instution prior to enrolling at Istanbul Altınbaş University are considered for transfer on a course basis even if the student is not a transfer student.

Students with a cumulative grade point average 3.00 or higher is considered satisfactory status. In order to meet this graduate requirement, students can retake their courses or can take other courses to fulfill 3.0 GPA requirements.
