Altınbaş University Law School started its education life by admitting its first students in the 2011-2012 academic year.
During the same education period, the International Trade Law Master's Program started. In the 2013-2014 academic year, the Double
Diploma Turkish-German Law Undergraduate Program, carried out together with the University of Cologne, was launched.
Students were accepted to the Public Law Master's Program in the 2016-2017 academic period.
In 2017, the Private Law PhD Program started to accept students. International Commercial Law and Private Law master's degree programs with and without thesis also continue education.

Specific Admission Requirements

Having a master's degree in the field of law is required, and master's degree graduation is required in PhD programs. Only students with a bachelor's degree are admitted to the International Relations Integrated Doctorate Program. For candidates applying with a bachelor's degree, the undergraduate diploma GPA must be at least 3 out of 4 or an equivalent score. - ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Examination) score of at least 55 points or above from any score type for those applying with a master's degree within the last five years, and 80 points for applications to a doctoral program integrated with undergraduate graduation. and above must have been taken. • Candidate students who do not have sufficient ALES scores can take courses in graduate programs as "special students". Those taking courses as special students cannot benefit from student rights. • For the student whose GMAT and GRE exam scores are found, the numerical score in the GMAT or GRE equivalence table is used against the ALES base score. -To get a score of at least 55 and above from international foreign language exams accepted as equivalent to central foreign language exams accepted by the Council of Higher Education, Accordingly, the student must declare a score equivalent to at least 55 points. • "Special Student" status is not valid for students who do not have a Foreign Language Exam (YDS) result. • There is no foreign language exam at Altınbaş University. - Students who want to graduate from the field and participate in a program outside the field are obliged to take Scientific Preparation Courses. - Interview evaluation and interview for admission to doctoral programs at the Institute of Social Sciences are carried out.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Recognition of formal learning is done at the national level in accordance with YÖK framework regulations and Istanbul Altınbaş University relevant regulations.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The duration of Private Law Doctorate education is a maximum of 6 years (12 semesters) in accordance with the YÖK Regulation. A year consists of two semesters. There are 16 weeks in each semester. In order for our students to successfully complete their education and receive a diploma, they must receive passing grades in all required courses and their overall grade point average must be at least 3.00. During the program, they are required to get passing grades from 2 compulsory courses including Scientific Ethics + 5 elective courses + Doctoral Seminar courses. In addition, successful defense of the Thesis Proposal, Thesis Proposal Defense and ultimately the Doctoral Thesis in front of the jury is a requirement for graduation.

Profile of the Programme

The increase in the number of law faculties in our country in recent years has also revealed the need for legal academics. The main purpose of the program is to train academicians in the field of Private Law, to produce publications by conducting national and international research in this field, and to contribute to the quality of legal education and science in our country.

Graduates of this program work as lawyers, prosecutors, judges, notaries, researchers, academicians, managers, consultants and experts in all law-related fields of the public and private sectors. Graduates are trained with the basic and technical knowledge required to work in these fields and with skills such as communication, foreign languages ​​and teamwork.

Access to Further Studies

Those who complete this program,  assistant professor while they can work as members, they can also advance in the academy by obtaining the title of Associate Professor or Professor by meeting other conditions.

Our university also provides postgraduate education with a Master's degree in Public Law and a PhD program in Private Law.
